Vintage Japanese Wood and Lacquer Vase

A beautiful piece of Japanese craftsmanship. This lightweight vase is made of wood and then carefully lacquered. It has a natural form with horizontal ribbing reminiscent of bamboo joints. The color has fluid variability; a bit darker at the base with a raised, dotted texture. It has an inner container which would protect it if used as a vase. A spectacular, sculptural item for your shelf or end table.
